There are plenty of one day activities to be found in and around Leticia.
These can be organized through a variety of tour operators.
•
Tree climbing using alpine gear.
• Kayaking or canoeing on creeks, lakes, and rivers.
• Trekking through various types of forests.
• Participating in handcraft workshops with indigenous artists
and artisans.
• Dolphin watching, and across the Great River to neighbouring
Benjamin Constant in Brazil, and Santa Rosa in Peru.
• Bird watching and alligator watching outings.
• Visiting to indigenous communities, and buying their handcrafts,
or even taking part in making them along with them. Language is no barrier.
• Visiting the local Malokeros (shamans – for lack of a better
word), and being introduced to the sacred plants: coca, tobacco, and
ayahuasca.
…
these are just a few, among many other possibilities. |

These tours can take anywhere from two, to five days, or even longer; depending
on the traveller’s interest and stamina. They can be designed to
provide comfort and ease, or they can be designed as an adventure trip,
that may be designed to border on the realm of the extreme, where you can
challenge your own personal limits.
Tour operators
differentiate themselves in their focus and fields of expertise. We indicate
the operators who can handle these extreme and adventure tours with an
asterisk.
Regardless
of the style of tour you choose, you are sure to get a taste of what it’s
like to be immersed in the life-energy of the Amazon jungle, its enchantment,
and its magic. |
